The line has been operating since 1931, running for around ¾ mile from Peasholm Park to Scalby Mills stations, offering beautiful views of Scarborough's North Bay.

The line is now operated by the North Bay Railway Company Ltd, and as well as a railway, there is plenty more now on offer, including the Glass House Bistro and Historic Water Chute.
